Teaching

My teaching grows out of a commitment to critical and participatory pedagogy: working with students and communities to read media critically, make media purposefully, and use both to participate more fully in public life. I teach across university classrooms, community settings, and international programs, from film theory and mass communication to community-based media literacy with educators, youth, and older adults.
